    With tickets all out, cable provider opens live pay-per-view airing
    As top ABS-CBN prime time series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano cele­brated its first anniversary on air all this week, a culminating event is set to take place tonight at the Araneta Coliseum.

    Dubbed as “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano Isang Pamilya Tayo,” the concert is the production’s way of thanking the show’s loyal fans who have kept the Coco Martin series high up in the ratings game for an entire year.

    Tickets were given out free to throngs of supporters who gathered outside the ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City on the weekend of October 1, and as expected, not one was left with the production by the close of day.

    With endless requests to watch the show bombarding the network all week, its sister company Sky Cable decided to offer a live pay-per-view airing of the concert via its Sky VIP feature straight from the Big Dome. [Visit mysky.com.ph for more information].

    “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano Isang Pamilya Tayo” promises to be star-studded event with the entire cast and past guest celebrities set to perform this evening. Joining Martin on stage are Vice Ganda, Richard Yap, Paulo Avelino, Cesar Montano, Maja Salvador, Yassi Pressman, Bella Padilla, JC Santos, Vhong Navarro, Arjo Atayde, John Prats, Pepe Herrera, Awra, Onyok, Agot Isidro, Albert Martinez, Jaime Fabregas, Eddie Garcia, and Queen of Philippine movies Susan Roces.

    Top musical solos and acts will also lend their voices to the celebration led by Ogie Alcasid, Kyla, Klarisse, Morisette, Daryl Ong, Jason Dy, Hashtags, Vina Morales, and Gary Valenciano.

    And to make the show even more exciting, the love teams of James Reid and Nadine Lustre (Jadine), Elmo Magalona and Janella Salvador (Elnella), and Mccoy de Leon and Elisse Joson (McLisse) will also have special appearances.

    With scenes reflecting the daily lives of Filipinos, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano has touched the hearts of Filipino families and has inspired them to become better citizens of the country.

    It also continued to influence audiences nationwide, with the House of Representatives commending the ABS-CBN primetime series for its efforts to promote crime awareness and prevention among viewers. It even endorsed Coco Martin as “Celebrity Advocate for a Drug-Free Philippines.”

    Moreover, in House Resolution No. 358 filed on September 14, Rep. Ace Barbers commended the producers, cast, and crew of Ang Probinsyano for courageously presenting relevant and controversial issues to viewers every night. He also recognized the show’s campaign “Ligtas Tips” where the lead stars give tips to viewers to prevent them from becoming victims to syndicates.

    Besides Congress’ recognition, the show’s stars have also received several awards for their performances in the Gawad Tanglaw, Anak TV Awards, Paragala Awards, and Umalohok Juan Awards among others.

    With the show’s ratings going stronger a year into the program, ABS-CBN is mum on how much longer they will keep this goldmine of a series on air.
