A multi-sectoral group will hold a rally in front of the Chinese Embassy in Makati City at noon on Friday to protest Beijing’s continued aggression in the South China Sea (West Philippine Sea), which it claims in its entirety as its own.

Interviewed on Tuesday morning by Radyo Inquirer, former Parañaque City (Metro Manila) Mayor Roilo Golez, lead convenor of the group called West Philippine Sea Coalition, said they chose the day, July 24, to coincide with the date when Beijing declared the creation of Sansha City, which encompasses the areas it claims in disputed territories.
