LOS ANGELES: Unbeaten Danny Garcia beat Robert Guerrero by unanimous decision on Saturday (Sunday in Manila) to capture the World Boxing Council welterweight crown vacated by the retirement of undefeated Floyd Mayweather.
Judges awarded the 12-round victory in the all-American slugfest to Garcia by three identical scores of 116-112.
