The Gemmalyn Crosby Sports Festival (GCSF) will present the third Philippine Fitness & Wellness Expo on September 3, at the SMX Convention Center, following the success of its 2015 edition that was attended by over 2,000 participants and guests.
“This is going to be better than the past two years combined. It is the most exciting fitness and wellness even for the whole family,” said Crosby, the founder of GCSF. Crosby is a celebrity fitness enthusiast as well as a bodybuilder superstar in the United States and the Philippines.
The multi-sport event will feature the latest trends in fitness, sports and wellness industry. Athletes, sports enthusiasts and celebrity guests from all over the Philippines and the world will participate in the event.
Among the partners of GCSF in the event are boxing champion Gerry Peñalosa, Regine Tolentino, the Philippine Karatedo League, the Philippine Table Tennis Federation, and Filipino Martial Arts and Arnis Championships.
The featured events are Bodybuilding Championships, Karatedo Championships and Arnis Best of the Best of the Philippines, Filipino Martial Arts. There will also be table tennis exhibition games as well as classes in yoga, boxing, zumba and more.
“I believe in Gemmalyn’s advocacy and passion. I support her fully and I know she inspires and motivates many in the sports industry,” said former junior bantamweight and bantamweight titleholder Peñalosa.
Crosby is an International Federation of BodyBuilding and Fitness professional athlete and businesswoman. She holds an Advanced Personal Training Certification, is a certified sports nutrition specialist, a fitness model, book author, actress, muay thai and kickboxing instructor, and mixed martial arts practitioner.
“One of my many passions in life is to promote fitness and wellness in my hometown, the Philippines,” said the Florida-based Crosby, who is currently completing her for a Master’s degree in Nutrition.
