Generals secure 20-day TRO from Court

A 20-day temporary restraining order (TRO) issued by the Quezon City Regional Trial Court to the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Board will allow junior cager Jozhua General to play for the University of the Philippines Integrated School (UPIS) for the time being.

The UAAP Board previously declared General ineligible to play for UPIS because his five-year window was through citing that he graduated from Naga Parochial School in 2008. The UPIS though argued that 2010 should be the starting point of General’s eligibility when he graduated from Lourdes High School in Mandaluyong.

Because of General’s case, the UAAP Board also forfeited UPIS’ lone victory this season against host Adamson.
