German tire maker Continental Tires has opened shop in the Philippines to cater to growing number of premium and high-performance cars in the country.
Continental Tires will be distributed through Tiara Commercial and Industrial Corporation, which is a long-time local distributor of tires with a big network of dealerships across the country.
A formal ceremony to announce the entry of the German tire brand in the country was held recently at the Manila Polo Club in Makati City with no less than German Ambassador to the Philippines Thomas Ossowski gracing the event
Initially, Tiara will be distributing Continental’s passenger car tires including the ContiComfortContact CC5, the ContiMaxContact MC5, the ContiSportContact 5 and 5P, the ContiCrossContact LX2 and the Continental SSR.
The Continental ContiComfortContact CC5 is designed to deliver “optimized comfort, reduced noise, better fuel economy and improved safety.” ContiMaxContact MC5, meanwhile, delivers balanced performance in both wet and dry driving conditions.
The ContiSportContact 5 and 5P tires are designed for “sporty” performance that provides steering precision and optimal adhesion while the ContiCrossContact LX2 is the company’s newest generation of SUV tires that offer outstanding dry and wet grip as well as enhanced stone ejection and reduced road noise.
Meanwhile, the Continental SSR technology is a proven run-flat tire technology that allows the user to drive as far as 80 kilometers at 80 kilometers per hour even with zero tire pressure.
