Gerry’s Grill launches new resto concept

PRIME Pacific Grill Corp. (PPGC), operator of Gerry’s Grill, has announced the addition of Gerry’s Grill Plus, a new restaurant concept, to beef up its brand portfolio.

The new outlet is set to open before the end of the month at the UP Town Center in Quezon City.

“We have expanded the menu line for Gerry’s Grill Plus. It is a casual dining restaurant that will serve an eclectic mix of offers from our different brands – Gerry’s, Aressi, and Sweet Chili. It aims to be a one-stop-shop of our best menu items,” says Gerry Apolinario, president and chief executive officer of PPGC.

Gerry’s serves an-all Filipino menu, Aresi has Italian-American, and Sweet Chili has Thai. Aresi is located at the Waterfront Road in Subic, and Sweet Chili is at the third level of Fisher Mall along Quezon Avenue in Quezon City.

“Gerry’s Grill Plus will have a different look with new interiors and decors. It will be an entirely different dining experience,” Apolinario added.

The PPGC chief also said they hope to increase the number of Plus branches in new locations within the year and is considering converting some of their Gerry’s restaurants into Plus outlets after a careful study of their markets.

PPGC also operates Kusina ng Gerry’s, a do-it-yourself fast-casual restaurant, and Ramen Sora, a popular ramen house from Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, which opened its first branch in Subic last December.

Before the opening of Gerry’s Grill Plus, PPGC will launch Yakitori Binchotan at AS Fortuna in Cebu this month.

Ramen Sora and Yakitori Binchotan are operated under a joint partnership with the owner-operators of Ramen Sora in Japan and the US – Japanese chefs Yoshi Ishise, Tomio Hakada and Nori Suzuki.

PPGC is also eyeing Makati, Alabang, and Quezon City for Ramen Sora’s expansion, while Yakitori Binchotan will be in Balibago Pampanga within the year.

Gerry’s will soon open in Megamall, Aseana, and Balibago during the first half of 2015.
