Australian pop music group Hi-5 visited Manila this month to promote their upcoming series of shows at Resorts World Manila’s (RWM) Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT) from December 19 to 22.
During their stay, the group held a meet and greet event for Filipino fans of their globally popular children’s television show at the hotel’s Cantonese fine dining restaurant Passion.
Mary, Stevie, Dayen, Ainsley and newest member Tanika, shared laughs with the kids and their folks, and of course, sang and danced to their well-loved songs.
“Being in Hi-5 lets us travel and meet all of our fans around the world. Different cultures have different reasons and they all take something special away from the show. It’s nice to meet our fans and hear what their favorite part and what they love about Hi-5,” Ainsley said.
“We’ve been doing Hi-5 all around the world but I have to say, and I say this from the bottom of my heart, the fans that we have here in the Philippines are the best fans in the world,” Stevie added.
The group’s December concert is titled Hi-5 House Hits!, which as implied will feature a repertoire of the show’s favorite and best loved songs for children.
Chosen by actual Hi-5 audiences, the group has arranged these songs in a sing- and dance-a-long concert that the whole family can join.
Tickets are available at all TicketWorld outlets (www.ticketworld.com.ph and 891-9999), and at the Resorts World Manila Box Office.
