A MAN man from Ghana may be deported for verbally assaulting an immigration supervisor of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2. Bureau of Immigration (BI) spokesperson Atty. Elaine Tan said Benjamin Akomeah, 30, violated Section 37 of the Philippine Immigration Act and Act No. 2711 of Section 69. Akomeah apparently got mad when Ma. Lourdes Quidangen, supervisor of the travel control and enforcement unit, questioned his travel documents. Akomeah, who was set to depart for Vancouver, Canada, resented the delay at the immigration counter because of his pregnant wife Kristine Maceda Alingod. Akomeah then started to become unruly and refused to calm down despite the presence of some immigration personnel and airport police officers.
