INDIANAPOLIS: New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin has agreed a one-year contract extension that will keep him with the National Football League club through the 2015 season, he said on Friday (Saturday in Manila). Coughlin unveiled the deal at the NFL Scouting Combine at Indianapolis, where clubs analyze top college players ahead of April’s NFL Draft of unclaimed talent. Coughlin has gone 90-70 in a 10-year tenure with the Giants that includes Super Bowl victories over the New England Patriots in 2008 and 2012. The Giants finished 7-9 this past season, their first losing campaign under Coughlin. New York lost the first six games of the season before winning seven of the last 10.
