WHILE electricity in Metro Manila has been fully restored, several areas in Luzon and the Visayas are still experiencing power outages.
As this developed, concerned agencies have assured the Department of Energy (DOE) that these areas will be fully energized in two weeks time.
The National Electrification Administration (NEA) told DOE that the First Laguna Electric Cooperative will fully restore power in Cavinti, Laguna on July 21.
As of July 25, only 53 percent of power was restored in Cavinti.
All municipalities in Batangas except for San Jose and Ibaan will also be fully energized on July 25.
The DOE said that power supply in San Jose and Ibaan was already fully restored by the Batangas Electric Cooperative.
According to the DOE, some municipalities in Camarines Norte will be fully energized on July 31.
These include Capalonga, Labo, Sta. Elena, Mercedes, San Lorenzo Ruiz, Talisay and Vonzons.
While power supply in some areas in Camarines Sur province will be fully restored on August 7.
These include the municipalities of Cabusao, Sipocot, Libmanan, Pamplona, San Fernando, Minabalac, Canaman, Baao, Balatan, Bato.
As well as the municipalities of Buhi, Bula, Iriga City, Nabua, Ocampo, Caramoan, Garchitorena, Goa, Lagonoy, Presenctacion, Sagñay, San Jose and Tigaoan.
All of the municipalities in Albay and Sorsogon will be fully energized on August 7, the DOE said.
The province of Catanduanes will have a 100 percent power supply on July 31.
The DOE also said that the NEA, National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, and the Northern Samar Electric Cooperative vowed to fully restore power in Northern Samar on August 5.
Power outages hit many areas in Luzon including Metro Manila and Samar during the onslaught of Typhoon Glenda (international name Rammasun).
