Global FC dropped out of the AFC Cup after a draw with Malaysian team Pahang FA in their last game in the group stage of the tournament at the Philippines Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
United Football League first division powerhouse Global FC, the only remaining Filipino football club in the continental football tilt’s group stage, locked horns with their Malaysian foes but was unable to notch a win.
The result of the clash between the opposing teams was reminiscent of their first meeting on March 11, which also ended in a goal-less tie.
Global FC ended their campaign in the tournament at the third spot of Group G, only winning a single game against Yadanarbon FC of Myanmar.
The defending UFL Champions will now focus as the start of their next international campaign – the preliminary round of the 2015 Singapore Cup against Hougang United FC on the latter part of May.
