Globe, iDirect in VSAT satellite service

GLOBE Telecom said it has partnered with VT iDirect Inc. (iDirect), company of Vision Technologies Systems Inc. (VT Systems ) and a world leader in satellite-based IP communications technology, to offer local businesses high-speed connectivity in previously unconnected areas.

The partnership between iDirect and Globe Telecom will bring very small aperture terminal (VSAT) connectivity to regions of the Philippines that are out of reach of terrestrial services. It will also facilitate the establishment of disaster recovery networks to enable reliable voice and data communications at all times.
