Globe Telecoms Inc. is launching GogoNogo, a new mobile security app that allows users to control prepaid, debit and credit cards, payment capabilities, a feature that secures the telco’s digital payment solutions.
“We believe that with the security features being provided by GogoNogo, our customers are assured of safe and secure transactions when using their GCash MasterCard anytime, anywhere,” said Albert Tinio, GXI President and CEO.
G-Xchange, a subsidiary of Globe’s financial services arm Mynt, collaborated with international platform provider First Performance Global to launch GogoNogo, a mobile security app that enables users to turn on and turn off payment capabilities of their prepaid, debit or credit cards through their mobile phone.
The app is created to complement Globe’s GCash MasterCard for added security.
GCash is a micro payment service offered to Globe subscribers. It can be used in mobile money transactions such as the purchase of prepaid load, bills payment, money remittance, donations, and online shopping.
Globe said the app is easy to use and navigate. GCash MasterCard holders can personally make decisions as to when to “turn on” and “turn off” their prepaid card for payments, as well as allow them to control where and how their card can be used to prevent the misuse of a lost or stolen card.
The app offers multi-factor authentication, on and off capability per card and per location, real time reports, self-service customer portal for reports and assistance, transaction alerts and notifications, manual and automatic security account protection, and enrollment of multiple cards per user and mobile number.
