Globe Telecom is paving the way for easier and more accessible job hunting by offering its prepaid subscribers unlimited access to leading online recruitment site JobStreet.com via their mobile phone as part of a mobile surfing bundle.
“Globe enables jobseekers in the country to have an easy and hassle-free access to job opportunities at the comfort of their mobile phones with this innovative mobile surfing bundle,” said Jenny Granada-Echevarria, head of Mobile Data Services at Globe.
The Ayala-led telecommunications company said that with MAIL20 Plus, users can search for job vacancies by position, location or specialization; receive personalized job alerts; e-mail resumés and instantly apply for a desired job opening using their mobile phone anytime, anywhere via m.jobstreet.com, the mobile site of JobStreet.com accessible by typing m.jobstreet.com on the phone browser or through the JobStreet Mobile App available for download to most smartphones.
The JobStreet Mobile App allows users to browse through jobs by categories or fields of expertise, view personal job matches and receive job alerts, save job searches and views, share job openings to friends and contacts, and apply for job vacancies. The app is available for download on iTunes, Google Play, BlackBerry World and Windows Market.
“With the advent of technology, JobStreet.com is excited to partner with Globe Telecom as we bring the no. 1 Philippine jobsite to more jobseekers at the comfort of their mobile phones with MAIL20 Plus,” said Yoda Buyco, marketing director of JobStreet.com.
iPhone users can also avail of the “Jobs Near Me” feature that helps them find jobs at their preferred locations. iPhone users can shake their devices at their preferred locations and all job opportunities will appear on the device map. Job searches can be narrowed down by inputting keywords or filtering specialization and position level at the search page.
Besides JobStreet.com and the JobStreet Mobile App, subscribers also get unlimited access to the mobile sites of Facebook, Yahoo! Mail and Gmail as part of the mobile surfing bundle for only P20 a day.
“This way, they can view and respond real-time to e-mails sent by prospective employers and update their Facebook accounts on the status of their job applications, without the need for wifi,” Globe said.
