Globe Telecom on Friday said that it has restored mobile phone services in 11 more towns in the Visayas region, including Cabucgayan, Biliran, providing much-needed mobile services in areas hardest hit by Super Typhoon Yolanda.
The restoration of the company’s cell site facility, located along San Roque Street, in Ezperanza, Cabucgayan, will now enable typhoon survivors in the province to access call and text services.
The telecommunications provider said that it also restored mobile services in the towns of Albuera, Barugo, Capoocan, Carigara in Leyte province as well as the towns of Sigma in Capiz; Bulwan and Caluya in in Aklan; Pandan in Antique; and Ajuy in Iloilo.
The company also expects to restore over the weekend cellular services in the towns of Pontevedra, Pilar, President Roxas, Tanita, Adlawan, Maayon, Quevedo and Jolong in Capiz.
The company said that it will continue to prioritize restoration of cell sites in areas severely affected by the recent super typhoon.
