GMA CLEARED BY ANOTHER WITNESS IN ZTE

A former official of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), on cross-examination on Tuesday at the Sandiganbayan, also testified that jailed former President and now Rep. Gloria Arroyo of Pampanga was able to lower the cost of the controversial national broadband network (NBN) deal by P3.9 billion. Arroyo’s lawyers scored points after former legal staff director Fortunato Abrenilla’s revelations, answering questions by defense counsel Laurence Arroyo, run counter to earlier allegations that the former president endorsed a grossly disadvantageous project to the government. Abrenilla bared that based on records of the meeting of the NEDA Board on March 27, 2007 on the NBN project, Arroyo, as chairman of the NEDA Board, ordered then transportation assistant secretary Lorenzo Formoso 3rd to configure the proposal so as to avoid overlapping of its services and coverage with the Cyber Education program.

  1. And yet another case of malice against PGMA. Her complete exoneration will once again be the outcome of these fabricated charges, inspite of an Abnoy corrupted justice system.
