GMA Network’s 65th anniversary grand fans’ day

GMA Network staged a successful and fun-filled grand fans’ day at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on July 26 as part of its 65th anniversary celebration.

Company Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe Yalong led the network’s top executives and program managers in showing GMA’s glittering roster of talents their support by attending the major event.

GMA News and Public Affairs pillars Mel Tiangco, Jessica Soho, Arnold Clavio, Vicky Morales and Howie Severino opened the program, greeted the audience and announced the various raffle games, prizes and on-ground activities at the arena. Tiangco further took the opportunity to express her utmost thanks to everyone who sent donations through Kapuso Foundation for the Kapuso Village in Tacloban.

The cast members of the top-rating afternoon prime series The Half Sisters—Barbie Forteza, Thea Tolentino, Vaness del Moral and Winwyn Marquez—were first to go on stage and displayed their dancing prowess with “Juicy Wiggle”. Kristoffer Martin, Joyce Ching and Krystal Reyes of Healing Hearts then performed a dance number with “Calling All Hearts.”

Thunderous roars filled the air when Mark Herras, Alden Richards, Rodjun Cruz, Enzo Pineda, Rochelle Pangilinan, Kris Bernal, Louise delos Reyes and Iya Villania of Sunday All Stars showed off their effortless moves.

Meanwhile, Elmo Magalona and Janine Gutierrez greeted fans and joined the stars of The Half Sisters including Barbie, Thea, Winwyn, Vaness and Andre Paras; Healing Hearts with Kristoffer, Joyce and Krystal; and Sunday All Stars’ Mark, Alden, Rodjun, Enzo, Rochelle, Kris and Louise onstage as they expressed their gratitude to all their devoted fans and supporters.

Cooking Diva and Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid serenaded the audience with a medley of some of the hit songs of Eraserheads.

The network’s favorite divas and balladeers Jaya, Aicelle Santos, Maricris Garcia, Frencheska Farr, Rita Daniella, Katherine Castillo, Kai Atienza, Hannah Precillas and Kris Lawrence belted out a medley of Aegis’ hit songs.

The crowd went all the more ecstatic when the lead stars of the primetime series The Rich Man’s Daughter Rhian Ramos, Luis Alandy and Glaiza de Castro shared the stage for a song number. They were later on joined by TJ Trinidad, Mike Tan, Sheena Halili and Chynna Ortaleza as they thanked the everyone for their support and appreciation on the drama series.

The cast of Yagit led by Yasmien Kurdi, LJ Reyes, Zymic Jaranilla, Jemuell Ventinilla, Judie Dela Cruz and Chlaui Malayao performed an energetic song and dance number. Ismol Family’s Ryan Agoncillo and Carla Abellana thanked the fans for their continued support for the family sitcom. Carmi Martin, Kevin Santos, Mike Pekto Nacua, Yakki, Krippy, Dianne, Jackie, Boobay, Miguel Tanfelix and Bianca Umali joined them onstage.

GMA News and Public Affairs personalities also came in full force to greet the fans at the arena including Maki Pulido of Reporter’s Notebook; Kara David and Sandra Aguinaldo of I-Witness; Mareng Winnie Monsod, Arnold, Suzie Entrata-Abrera, Lyn Ching, Tonipet Gaba, Ivan May-rina, Susan Enriquez, Mang Tani, Luanne Dy, and Lhar Santiago of Unang Hirit; and news anchors Raffy Tima and Mariz Umali.

Idol Sa Kusina’s Chef Boy Logro and Bettinna Carlos; Doc Nielsen Donato of Born to be Wild; Connie Sison and Raul “Dr.Q” Quillamor of Pinoy MD; Solenn Heussaff and Iya of Taste Buddies together with Geoff Eigenmann were also in attendance to bond with their fans.

The crowd roared with excitement when Philippine Comedy Queen AiAi delas Alas showed up and took center stage. She then called fast-rising loveteam of Ruru Madrid and Gabbi Garcia onstage and sang “Let the Love Begin.” They were later joined by the other cast members of the primetime series including Donita Rose, Sancho delas Alas, Abel Estanislao, Nomer Limatog, Rita and Phytos Ramirez.

My Mother’s Secret’s Christian Bautista sang “Photograph,” while Gwen and Diva Montelaba danced. They were joined by Kiko Estrada and Kim Rodriguez.

Also joining the festivities were contestants of boy band competition, To the Top, and new talents of GMA Artist Center.

The entire team of GMA’s longest-running gag show Bubble Gang headlined by Michael V. together with Betong Sumaya, Sef Cadayona, Andrea Torres, Moymoy Palaboy, Denise Barbacena, Jackie Rice, Gwen, Arny Ross, Juancho Triviño, Jan Manual, RJ Padilla and Diego did not disappoint their fans and prepared a hilarious skit for them.

Michael V. also joined his co-stars in the well-loved family sitcom Pepito Manaloto including Manilyn Reynes, Jessa Zaragoza, Nova Villa, John Feir, Mosang, Janna Domin-guez, Ronnie Henares, Angel Satsumi and Jake Vargas when in a song number.

The whole gang of Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman headlined by the ultimate star builder German “Kuya Germs” Moreno thanked the crowd for their relentless support for their show all these years. He was joined by John Nite, Jake, Buboy Villar, Ken Chan, Hiro Peralta, Renz Valerio, and other WTWMS mainstays.

Eat Bulaga’s Anjo Yllana and Julia Clarete treated lucky fans with cash prizes as the played the popular “Pinoy Henyo” game of the noontime show. Bea Binene and Derrick Monasterio of Vampire Ang Daddy Ko prepared a song number that sent everyone in giggles.

GMA Network Primetime King Dingdong Dantes led the cast of Pari’Koy as he gave an all-out performance singing along with the audience. He was joined onstage by Gabby Eigenmann, David Remo, Jillian Ward, Jeric Gonzales, JC Tiuseco, Hiro, Lindsay de Vera and Sunshine Dizon.

The fans further had the opportunity to see first the sneak peek of the network’s upcoming programs like the upcoming comedy-variety show Sunday PinaSaya with hosts AiAi, Alden, Julie Anne San Jose, Valeen Montenegro and Primetime Queen Marian Rivera; Buena Familia with cast Kylie Padilla, Julie Anne, Martin del Rosario, Jake, Mayton Eugenio and Julian Trono; and Beautiful strangers with actors Lovi Poe, Rocco Nacino, Benjamin Alves and Christopher de Leon.

Tom Rodriguez and Miss World 2013 Megan Young impressed fans with their singing and dancing skills. They both gamely posed for pictures with their excited supporters and invited them to support Marimar on GMA “Telebabad.”

Meanwhile, Butch Francisco of Startalk and Jean Garcia of Love Hotline hosted games; as Luanne together with Pancho Magno announced the various winners of the raffle games.

Finally, happy couple Dingdong and Marian made the fans day extra special and memorable when they gave away 65 watches.
