Goethe-Institut runs new film series

The Goethe-Institut started the New Year with a new film series, which kicked off on January 7, and every Wednesday thereafter.

A Visual Tour Through German Literature features various film adaptations of various German literary works from the classics to German fairytales to contemporary literature. Many great exponents of German literature, from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe to Erich Kaestner to Daniel Kehlmann, are represented in the film adaptations of our new film series. Just like the novels, many of these adaptations are already highly acclaimed in the German cultural scene.
