Quezon City government has earmarked P5 million to finance the implementation of Barangay Seal of Good Housekeeping (SGH) award starting this year. Mayor Herbert M. Bautista signed into law Ordinance No. 2273 which adopts the seal of good housekeeping for the city’s 142 barangays. The Seal of Good Housekeeping is the city’s version of the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s Seal of Good Housekeeping that aims to advance primacy of performance, accountability, transparency and participation among local government units. The QCSGH will have two levels — the Gawad Huwarang Pamamahala Award and the Dangal ng Lungsod Award. Cash awards will be given to winning barangays.
