• Goodell says ‘no timeline’ on Brady decision

LOS ANGELES: NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says there is “no timeline” for his decision on superstar quarterback Tom Brady’s appeal of his “Deflategate” ban. The New England Patriots signal-caller was suspended for four games after investigators found he likely knew his team’s footballs were under-inflated in their AFC championship victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Brady has appealed the punishment, and US media have reported that he and the NFL Players’ Association are prepared to take the matter to court if Goodell doesn’t overturn the ban.
