“Gorio” displaced more than a hundred families in Metro Manila, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
The agency said 183 families or 664 persons in eight barangay (villages) were taken to evacuation centers.
A report from the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in Calabarzon said an unidentified victim was injured when his house collapsed in Tanza, Cavite.
Strong waves also washed out several houses in Tanza, Cavite. The NDRRMC said 64 families took refuge at the Amaya 5 Elementary School.
In Naic, Cavite, stilt houses built near the shores and coastal areas were also washed out while in Silang, a tree fell on a house but no injuries were reported.
In the Cordillera region, Kennon Road in Baguio City and Acupan Road in Sitio Camp 5, Virac, Itogon in Benguet were hit by landslides.
The OCD in Cordillera region also suspended trekking and spelunking.
