• ‘Gorio’ forces cancellation of local flights



    A number of flights were cancelled on Saturday because of stormy weather, according to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).

    Four Cebu Pacific and two Zest Airways flights were not allowed to take off as storm “Gorio” made landfall in Eastern Samar early Saturday.

    The MIAA’s Media Affairs Division also said seven flights from PAL Express had also been cancelled.

    The cancelled flights are:

    Cebu Pacific 5J-323 (Manila-Legaspi), 5J-324 (Legaspi-Manila), 5J-329 (Manila-Legaspi), 5J-330 (Legaspi-Manila).

    PAL Express 2P-091 (Manila-Calbayog), 2P-092 (Calbayog-Manila), 2P-029 (Manila-Catarman), 2P-030 (Catarman-Manila), 2P-972 (Tacloban-Manila), 2P-925 (Manila-Legaspi), 2P-926 (Legaspi-Manila).

    Zest Airways Z2-320 (Manila-Tacloban) and Z2-321 (Tacloban-Manila).

    Also, SeAir flights DG-7044 (Manila-Tacloban), DG-7045 (Tacloban-Manila) were also cancelled.
