THE government has earmarked P7.68 billion for a project to energize off-grid communities in various remote areas in the country.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) said the fund has been released to the National Electrification Administration (NEA) and charged against the agency’s budget under the 2014 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
