THE national government’s outstanding debt rose in September, the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) reported on Friday, with both domestic and foreign obligations increasing.
Preliminary Treasury data placed government debt at P5.94 trillion last month, up by 3.7 percent or P212 billion. From August, government debt rose by 0.6 percent or P38 billion.
