The Philippine Marines and the police captured four alleged members of the notorious Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) at a checkpoint in Barangay Bungkaung, Patikul, Sulu, on Friday night.
Reports reaching Camp Aguinaldo, said the checkpoint operation was launched after the Marine Batallion Landing Team -9 received a tip that some ASG members were sighted at the main service road in Patikul town. The Marines team immediately coordinated with the Patikul Police in setting up the dragnet.
