Haribon’s Charlou Ormega gives a short orientation on biodiversity conservation

An Information, Ecology and Communication (IEC) drive on basic ecology, biodiversity, and climate change was conducted in various elementary schools in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro from October 14 to 21.

Aiming to raise awareness on the Philippine tamaraw and forest biodiversity conservation among the elementary students and general public of Sablayan, schools reached included the Poblacion Elementary School, Sablayan Central Elementary School, Buenavista Elementary School, Sto. Niño Elementary School, Liwayway Elementary School, San Vicente Elementary School, Colegio de San Sebastian, Paradise Adventist Elementary School, and Sta. Lucia Elementary Schools I and II.

Representatives from the said schools also participated at the biodiversity quiz bee and on-the-spot poster-making contest held at Siburan Hall, Sablayan Municipal Hall on October 22.
