• Green transport system eyed in quezon city

THE Quezon City government is eyeing the development of the QC green route that will harness the use of renewable energy sources for the city’s transport sector to help mitigate the ill-effects of pollution to public health and safety. Mayor Herbert Bautista has instructed the department of public order and safety to study the proposal, which the Mayor considered as instrumental in the city government’s effort to reduce carbon footprints and improve QC’s overall environmental quality. QC department of public order and safety chief Elmo San Diego said the city is considering the use of bio-diesel, LPG and solar energy as alternative fuel sources for the soon-to-be-developed QC green route.
