The Taiwan Excellence office in the Philippines is encouraging Filipinos to use bicycles for cleaner and greener traveling around Metro Manila.
Recognizing that getting around the metropolis has become a constant struggle, the campaign believes bicycle is the a practical and affordable alternative.
And though many would state that using a bike is impractical in the urban jungle that is Metro Manila, Taiwan Excellence lists the many benefits when one chooses to ride a bike.
Healthy mind and body
Biking instead of driving a car or taking public transportation burn calories and strengthens body because it is a good form of cardiovascular exercise.
It can also improve muscle tone and clear one’s head before going to work; giving an individual more energy and help you better concentrate on the different tasks needed to be done throughout the day.
Riding a bicycle is also a good way to help Mother Nature as it doesn’t emit any pollutants or carbon gases, reducing one’s carbon footprint in the process. Plus, a bicycle doesn’t require gasoline, thus, reduces the consumption of this resource.
Easier on the pockets
Riding a bicycle can also help a person lessen expenses. The money originally used for public transportation or putting fuel in one’s car can be used for something else. In addition, a bicycle requires less maintenance compared to a car.
To further encourage biking while continuing its commitment in providing better products for Filipinos, the Taiwan Excellence introduced various brands of innovative foldable bicycles in SM Mall of Asia on October 11 and 12 and in Trinoma on October 18 and 19.
At the consecutive events, the Taiwan Excellence showcased the best bicycles that Taiwan has to offer, as well as other sporting goods that promote health and wellness. It is through this that Filipino consumers get to experience the quality of Taiwan products.
The Taiwan Excellence campaign, organized by Bureau of Foreign Trade of Taiwan (BOFT), and implemented by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), is the symbol of quality that guarantees the superior value of Taiwanese lifestyle brands across Asia is now in the Philippines.
