Greinke set to join Diamondbacks, reports say

LOS ANGELES: The Arizona Diamondbacks have landed one of the most coveted free agents on the market by agreeing to a contract with star pitcher Zack Greinke, US media reported on Friday (Saturday in Manila). The blockbuster deal is reported to be for six years and worth $206.5 million, according to and others. If the deal becomes official it would be a considerable raise for Greinke, who had opted out of a six-year, $147 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers after his third season in the City of Angels.
