LUCENA CITY: The St. Ferdinand Cathedral will receive three chandeliers from UGAT Lucena, an organization composed of people with roots from Lucena City, or “taal na Lucenahin.” UGAT Lucena spokesperson Nini de Asis said the chandeliers would add to the improvement of the church in time for the 50th anniversary Bishop Emilio Marquez on June 5. Marquez is head of the Lucena Diocese. At least four cardinals are expected to officiate during the anniversary mass. De Asis said a Rigodon de Honor will also be held on May 24 at Queen Margarette Hotel. UGAT Lucena presidents Ramil Estrope and Jenny Suarez-Lopez said there is plan to provide scholarship to deserving students.
