After bowing to College of Saint Benilde (CSB) in their previous, the first team of the Growling Tigers managed to bounce back with a victory over Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU), 2-1, in the first division.

The men from Espana took the 1-0 advantage after the slow-starting first half following the strike of AJ Pasion in the 25th minute of the ball game.

However, Ateneo caught one back two minutes after the break as Samuel Lim found the back of the net in the 47th minute to level the score a 1-1.

UST pushed hard to assert their dominance over their fellow University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) squad and was rewarded with the game-winning shot of Jofridale Molino in the 59th.

Consequently, the reserves of the Growling Tigers trounced Emilio Aguinaldo College, 6-1, through an early brace output of Jonas Del Rosario in the second division.

Del Rosario opened the scoring just eight minutes into the match followed by another goal in the 35th minute.

On the other hand, Marvin Lianza registered the only goal for the Generals with a shot of his own deep inside the territory of their foes in the 31st minute.

Two more goals were added before the halftime intermission as Rafae Cunanan and KC Magnaye fired on target in the 33rd and 37th minutes, respectively.

As time winded down on the contest, Jiancel Molina and Pal Tuazon also etched their name on the score sheets after converting in the 74th and 87th minutes.

Meanwhile, University of the East posted a narrow 1-0 win over Lyceum of the Philippines University via the goal of Jasper Absalon in the 50th minute.

Also, the game between Far Eastern University and the St. Benilde Blazers ended in a scoreless stalemate.
