• GUN BAN VIOLATORS REACH 381 – PNP

    The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Thursday announced the arrest of 381 persons for violating the firearms ban. Senior Supt. Wilben Mayor, PNP spokesman, said that as of 7:31 a.m. on Thursday, 381 persons, mostly civilians, have been apprehended for carrying firearms despite the implementation of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) gun ban that started on September 27. Of these individuals, 360 are civilians, five police officers, 11 security guards, two government officials and three from the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
