Gun-for-hire suspects killed; 2 wanted for rape nabbed


URDANETA CITY, Pangasinan: Two alleged members of a gun-for-hire syndicate operating in the eastern part of the province were killed in a shootout with policemen in a checkpoint along Sitio Awed in Baranay Palina East recently. Police Provincial Director Senior Supt. Ronald Oliver-Lee said one of the slain suspects was only identified as “Bacunano,” said to be from Munoz City in Nueva Ecija. The other suspect remained unidentified. Recovered from them were two caliber 45 pistols, cellular phones and a motorcycle without plate number.
Meanwhile, two men wanted for rape, one of them listed as most wanted in Agno town, were arrested in separate operations recently. They were identified as Manuel Deocares, 21, of Barangay Buenlag in Calasiao and Aguedo Nerpio of Barangay Baruan in Agno town. Deocares charged on the complaint of his 16-year-old cousin, while Nerpio is facing two counts of rape filed by her own daughter.
