ZAMBOANGA CITY– Terror gripped Pagadian City anew following an attack that killed a woman and wounded her two companions.
Remedios Robesquillo, 45, a fish vendor, was shot and instantly killed by two gunmen at Purok Zone 2 in the village of Muricay. Her companions. Mohammad Dacula, 21, and Marlon Lumawan, 30, were also shot with .45-caliber and 9mm pistols.
Investigators retrieved at least 13 bullet casings in the area.
The victims just came from the Tiguma public market and on their way home when they were shot at.
No individual or group claimed responsibility, but hired killers actively operate in Pagadian, the capital of Zamboanga del Sur and seat of the regional center in western Mindanao.
