Hagedorn taps PDEA, PNP vs drugs in P.Princesa

Representative Douglas Hagedorn has tapped the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine National Police (PNP), National Bureau of Investigation and Bureau of Customs in his fight against the proliferation of the illegal drugs trade in at least 15 of the 34 barangays in Puerto Princesa City. Hagedorn claimed that the expanding and unstopped drug trafficking in the city has been monitored and confirmed by barangay officials. Local PDEA officers say the supply of methamphetamine in the city and Palawan province comes from Manila and Mindanao and delivered through air cargo couriers and fast sea crafts. Hagedorn, a member of the House committees on Appropriations, Drug Enforcement and Public Order and Safety, vowed to seek help from Congress to increase the budget dedicated to combat the illegal drugs trade in the country.
