• Half-Million tourists expected in Baguio for New Year bash

BAGUIO CITY: Half a million domestic and foreign tourists are expected to spend the rest of the Christmas season here and about 15,000 more vehicles to ply the city’s thoroughfares. The number coding scheme for private vehicles has been suspended for the duration of the holiday season in anticipation of the influx of tourists. The Baguio City Police Office director, Senior Supt. Rolando Miranda, said the BCPO–Traffic Management Branch and the Traffic and Transport Management Committee assured police visibility to assist motorists in the city and manage traffic particularly in the central business district and the parks and malls in the city.
