• Head—and hair—turning Tagaytay salon opening

Excitement came over the weekend crowd of Ayala Malls Serin when they suddenly saw the beautiful Marian Rivera making her way to grand opening of Bambbi Fuentes Salon on the second floor. Dressed in a light blue sun dress, with her long luscious hair flowing down her back, the movie and TV star was truly fresh sight to behold on a sweltering Sunday afternoon.

Rivera was welcomed by her best friend and longtime hair and makeup artist Bambbi Fuentes who had no one else in mind to cut the ribbon for the latest branch of the successful eponymous salon chain but the brand’s most famous muse. Rivera and Fuentes go a long way since the former’s early days in showbiz and through the most important occasions in her life, including making her look like a true queen on her wedding day, dubbed the “Royal Wedding” in 2014.

“Yanyan is not just my muse but a very loyal friend,” Fuentes, a former The Manila Times beauty columnist said of the branch opening’s special guest. “She has also stayed loyal to the Bambbi Fuentes brand throughout her rise to stardom, and I’ll forever be grateful to her for that.”

Fuentes, who likes to be hands on in the business, now has three branches with the Ayala Malls Serin addition. The main branch is located along Timog Avenue while another is situated in Visayas Avenue, Quezon City.

Asked if there are plans to open more Bambbi Fuentes salons in the future, one of the most noted makeup artists in the industry, humbly smile and said, “We’ll see.”
