THE Department of Justice (DoJ) has summoned Health Secretary Francisco Duque 3rd, his predecesor Janette Garin and 38 others for the preliminary investigation of the charges filed against them by parents of children whose deaths were linked to a controversial anti-dengue vaccine.

Assistant State Prosecutor Maria Emilia Victorio directed the respondents to personally appear during the initial inquiry set on June 25 for the submission of their respective counter-affidavits and the opportunity to explain their side on the complaints against them before the DoJ panel.
