Heavy rains expected over Mindanao due to trough of LPA

Expect heavy rains over Mindanao that may cause flash floods and landslides due to the trough of a low pressure area (LPA), the state weather bureau said on Monday.

In a interview, PAGASA weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio said that due to the trough or extended clouds of the LPA, Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
