HEAVY rains will continue in Metro Manila and other areas of Luzon as Tropical Depression “Ester” (international name: Gaemi) continues to trigger the southwest monsoon or “habagat”, the state-run weather bureau said on Friday afternoon.
As of 5 p.m., the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) located Ester at 295 kilometers (km) north of Basco, Batanes, with maximum winds of 60 kilometers per hour (kph) and gusts of up to 90 kph.
