Traffic is expected to become heavy along the Epifanio de los Santos Avenue particularly in Muñoz, Quezon City as the repair of Dario Bridge starts on March 15. Because of this, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Francis Tolentino told the contractors to manage alternative routes and install traffic signage first. “We want them (contractors) to plan the alternate routes and put traffic signage for the vehicles that will be displaced once the construction starts,” said Tolentino. He also required the contractor’s flagmen to undergo traffic management lessons at the MMDA office. According to Tolentino, the contactors are expected to work on the repairs for nine to 12 months.
