Year after year, emcee par excellence and well-respected society columnist Johnny Litton celebrates his birthday always with an exciting theme. For 2015, he has once again gone beyond the usual on September 5 at the Mayuree Ballroom of Dusit Thani Manila where guests came in as favorite Hollywood stars.

The night’s most popular look was that of Audrey Hepburn in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Most of the glamorous ladies wore elegant black outfits with tiaras and pearls.

Making this year’s celebratio n extra special was the fact that the man of the hour decided to join his guests and enjoy the program, thereby reliving his days in Beverly Hills, Hollywood and the various film capitals of the world like Rome, Cannes, Venice, London, Berlin and several others.

The Mayuree Ballroom was elegantly decorated Hollywood-style, with a big screen showing iconic movie clips, greatest movie theme songs playing in the background and popular film characters parading the ballroom.

Distinguished personalities, as well as the celebrator’s close friends from the diplomatic, government, business and social circles gave their full support by coming in costumes of their favorite Hollywood characters while enjoying the premium selection of “spirits” for the evening—special wine from Tita Trillo of Titania Wine Cellar and Johnny Walker Gold Label Reserve from Randy Uson of Diageo Philippines.

Among those present were Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario and his lovely wife Gretchen, Sen. Sonny Angara, Ilocos Norte 2nd District Rep. Imelda Marcos, former president Fidel Ramos, Manila Mayor Joseph Ejercito Estrada and many others.

Multi-awarded singer Pinky Marquez gave a standout performance as she sang a roster of famous and well-loved movie theme songs. The lovely evening was made more exciting with the awar ding of the best celebrity look-alikes as chosen by the esteemed selection committee composed of Boysie Villavicencio, Dr. Clare Palabyab and Martin Lopez. The standouts included Czarina Ablaza-Syquia, Myrna Yao, Dr. Greg Alvior, Sheree Chua, Nonoy Anson, Salome Uy and grand winner Elaine Rojas Villar who received amazing prizes from the different generous sponsors.

It was truly an unforgettable evening for everyone in attendance and definitely a night to remember for the one and only Johnny Litton. To Johnny we will look forward to next year’s bash!
