Two pairs of shoes that were left unclaimed at the Lost and Found section of the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) were found to contain two kilos of heroin. MIAA officials on Wednesday said personnel at the Lost and Found section said a pair of black Clark Active Air shoes and another pair of brown Clark Active shoes seemed heavier than normal. It was upon close inspection that officials found 1,000 grams of heroin, with an estimated street value of P10 million, were found at the soles of both shoes. According to MIAA spokesman David de Castro, both pair of shoes were turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA). The agency confirmed that the substance was heroin.
