High Court defers oath-taking of new lawyers

The Supreme Court has moved the oath-taking of the successful bar examinees which was scheduled today because of the visit today of US President Barack Obama.

The High Court said the postponement was “unexpected and unavoidable” because of the tight security thrown around Obama.

The oath-taking will be held on May 5 at the Philippine International Convention Center.

There were 1,174 law graduates who passed the 2013 Bar exams.
