Most parts of the country will experience a heat surge today because of a Ridge of High Pressure Area (HPA) extending across Luzon, according to the weather bureau.
A high-pressure area brings dry and warm winds.
To avoid heat exhaustion, people are advised to stay indoors as much as possible, wear clothing made of light materials with light colors, drink plenty of water and avoid eating food high in protein, which can increase body heat, PAGASA said.
Easterlies or warm winds from the east will affect Visayas.
Metro Manila and will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
Metro Manila temperature will range from 25 to 36 degrees Celsius for Wednesday.
