Highland vegetable prices up for holidays

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet: Farmers are expected to profit more with the increase of highland and  lowland vegetables this holiday season. Benguet Farmers Marketing Cooperative (BFMC) executive manager Augusta Balanoy said the upward trend in supply and demand made the  holidays profitable for farmers here. The province still produces 80 percent of vegetables in the market nationwide, with highland produce easily supplying the needs of lowland areas all year round.
