Growth in the sales of new cars will slow to 9 percent next year from the previously projected 19.2 percent as an increase in excise taxes on vehicles and fuel prices will result in lower sales, Fitch Group-owned BMI Research said in a recent report.
This came after Congress approved the first package of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (Train) Act on December 13.
