‘Mickey and the Wondrous Book’
The large-scale, musical production Mickey and the Wondrous Book brings to life seven of the greatest Disney stories of all time: The Jungle Book, The Little Mermaid, Tangled, Brave, Aladdin, The Princess and the Frog, and Frozen. With a mixture of classic and modern elements in story, music, choreography, costume and set design, the 28-minute stage show follows Mickey Mouse’s journey inside the Wondrous Book.
‘Happily ever after’ \The anniversary theme song “Happily Ever After” is sung by principal singers and Filipino artists Gian Magdangal and Raki Vega in Mickey and the Wondrous Book. Meanwhile, Janella Salvador sings the song in Filipino and English for the Philippine market. Her music video is set for release this December.
‘Disney in the stars’
The “Disney in the Stars” fireworks display atop Sleeping Beauty Castle is made more breathtaking with a new projection-mapping technology. The castle’s projection show presents 49 beloved Disney characters, 16 of which are newly added from movies Inside Out, Finding Nemo, Big Hero Six, Cars and the upcoming Finding Dory.
‘Frozen’ tree lighting
This season, Queen Elsa and Princess Anna star in HKDL’s “Frozen Christmas Tree Lighting” on Main Street. Queen Elsa uses her magic to light up the Christmas tree while stores along the street show spectacular projections.
Executive chef and culinary director Rudolph Muller and his team have prepared 60 dishes and beverages especially for the park’s 10th anniversary. Be it character dim sum at Crystal Lotus, or cookies, cotton candy and popcorn from vending carts, there are plenty of choices to satisfy guests’ taste buds.
