Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI), Honda’s automobile business unit in the Philippines, is recalling close to 20,000 units of select Jazz (2012-2013), City (2012-2014) and CR-V (2011) units sold in the country because of a suspected defect in the driver’s airbag inflator.

Although the said concern remains unconfirmed, the recall is HCPI’s proactive action to ensure the safety of the owners of the affected vehicles to avoid any unfortunate circumstance should the problem occur. According to the automobile manufacturer, there have been no reports of accident nor injuries related to this concern in the Philippines.
